A special place nestled in the woods, Backwoods is more than a bar, and in need of more than a logo to convey that. A mixed-use space including a shipping container bar, fire pits, natural wood play areas, hiking trails, and more, Backwood’s mission is to bring the community together for a day or night of enjoying the great outdoors. Its branding embodies its outdoor essence, love of local, and appreciation for slowly crafted things.
The Logo
Backwoods is a fun, ever-changing spot for friends and families. Like its environment, its branding is full of life withnot a singular logo, but a set of cohesive logos that can be used for whatever strikes their fancy.
From an active social media presence and merchandise to signage and menus for its sprawling grounds, Backwoods has a variety of branding applications to choose from.
Brand Tone & Visuals
The color palette is organic but bold. Typography is casual but elevated. While the brand emulates a quality, handcrafted feel, it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The Environment
Given the uniqueness of the location, the Backwoods environment was always kept at the forefront of the brand. With its shipping container bar and long winding path from the parking lot, wayfinding and signage were developed for ambiance and functionality.
